Often before the new year, many of us go on a cycle of creating resolution in January just to be disappointed with the lack of follow-through by February, many of us make big grandiose goals such as huge weight- loss, starting up our new business, or reorganizing our entire homes. This cycle can leave us feeling tired, no longer trusting in our ability to achieve what we put our minds to, or jaded by dreaming at all. This is a very sad place to be and during the last few months of 2020, I would like to work on creating an emotional space that will be primed for change and action by first healing the past, the limiting beliefs, and the bad habits of self- sabotage. Many of us women these days are so busy trying to succeed in all of our many roles as mothers, employees, business owners, friends, wives and so on that we are constantly stuck in action-oriented masculine thinking and completely neglect our intuitive, healing, and nurturing feminine thinking. In fact, the modern world is not very hospitable to this type of thinking and often many of us do not have the time to even remember it is there, but renewing this part of ourselves may be the very answer to all of the problems we have already discussed all along. Imagine this 30-day self-challenge as a way to clear a space for lasting change and forward progression in whatever it is you want out of life. Imagine this is a way to get back your passion and joy so that you will have the clarity and energy to continue accomplishing your goals. If possible I will also be adding in these healthy habits of going to sleep at the same time and waking at the same time every day, making my bed, putting out my clothes for the following day before I sleep, maintaining a clean environment, and talking to at least one friend each day. Even when sitting in my house I will dress how I want to feel, I will practice rising earlier so I can have more time for myself and I will put time limits on my apps so that I go to bed earlier and have more time for what matters most to me. My goal is to create an easy routine with a good flow that is based on how well I know my habits and abilities that will seamlessly allow me to get things done without feeling too much pressure and allow me more time to take care of the emotional aspects of life that are so often neglected. I know cutting out gluten, sugar, most meats and dairy will have a huge effect on my mental clarity but I will do this gradually so that it will stick and will help me adjust easier.
Listed Below is the simple and effective plan I will follow these next thirty days. This is all personal to me so do what works for you this is just what I know will work for me. I believe to be able to renew our feminine thinking we must first clear out the toxic and heavy stress that comes along with the masculine thinking such as to-do lists, overwhelming demands on our time, lack of time, the go-go-go attitude and we can do this by prioritizing, reflecting, getting rid of what stresses us by just doing it, writing things down and making very realistic clear and easy step by step plans to accomplish our goals.
Day # | Actions I will take today: |
| Make a list of what I want to achieve and what I want my life to look like and what I will accomplish and what keeps me from it. Separating my life into personal, financial, academic, or secular goals and family and friend related goals. |
| I will write every step to each goal I would like to accomplish in the next month, 3 months, 6 months, and one year. |
| I will finish up anything from days 1 or 2 knowing I can always add on and adjust the list. Make a chart of where your time is going every month, check your screen time on your phone, you may be surprised to realize how much of our much desired free time is squandered by futile pursuits such as tv, cell phones and not focusing on our tasks or procrastination. Commit to it if you’re gonna relax, relax! Be clear in your objectives, do not let your time run away from you. Learn to control it instead of letting it control you! |
| I will envision my dream life and use the law of attraction by putting my next goal on my phone screensaver |
| I will make a list of afformations to ask myself each day when I wake up, an afformation is different from an affirmation in that it asks a question, ie. “why am I so peaceful today?” (see list of Afformations below) |
| I will use my list of afformations as soon as I wake up for just a few minutes. |
| Today I will start journaling along with afformations when I wake up, I will first brain dump and just write everything down that comes to my mind this can be a great way to relieve stress and help get anything you have been carrying or stressed about out of your head and onto paper, this also can help boost creativity and allow for space to think more clearly. |
| I will continue every morning with the brain dumping for 5-10 minutes, reading my afformations. I will answer this journal prompt as well: what memories do I cherish the most and why? I will write a weekly plan today! |
| I will continue every morning with the brain dumping for 5-10 minutes, reading my afformations. I will answer this journal prompt as well : |
| I will continue every morning with the brain dumping for 5-10 minutes, reading my afformations. I will answer this journal prompt as well : |
| Laughter is the best medicine so today I will make an effort to smile and laugh, do something that I am passionate about for at least 10 minutes, and spend quality time with loved ones. |
| When I wake up I will do a pilates stretch routine for 10-15 minutes. I will Journal and do my afformations |
| I will make a list of what is most important to me and what I should be focusing on and what I should not as well as a clear plan on how I will shift my focus. Do I need to make any huge changes? What will this involve? What am I willing to do or give up to gain what is most important to me? What holds me back? |
| When I wake up I will do a pilates stretch routine for 10-15 minutes. I will Journal and do my afformations |
| I will write a realistic weekly plan today to accomplish my goals and create more time and relieve stress. I will check in with myself to look back on what I have accomplished these past few weeks and make any adjustments needed to have success and be realistic not putting any pressure on myself but enjoying the ride and learning along the way. |
| When I wake up I will do a pilates stretch routine for 10-15 minutes. I will Journal and do my afformations |
| I will spend time in nature and be still for at least 10 minutes. I will write a list of things that fuel my joy and passion and I will write a list of affirmation questions to attract that into my life more often, for example, I love having deep conversations that make me feel alive so the question I will ask myself is “ Why am I always having the deepest and meaningful conversations with people who make me feel loved, cared for and wanted?” and “Why do I bring so much joy, friendship and passion to all of my relationships and get it back in return?” When you ask your brain a question it will always give you an answer negative or positive it will find and create one. |
| When I wake up I will do a pilates stretch routine for 10-15 minutes. I will Journal and do my afformations |
| I will make a list of my limiting beliefs and then replace them with an afformation for example I always fail at everything > why do I always succeed at everything I do, why is my consistent, clear and dedicated mindset so helpful to get me where I want to be? |
| Today I will think of my relationships and where I want them to be, what part I play in making that happen and how I will change it. I will be grateful for what is good and bad, knowing the bad reveals what needs to change and the good reveals where we both shine. I will make a plan of who I want to speak to about where we stand, what I am grateful for about our relationship in what I would like to transform between us bringing a positive and humble attitude not placing any blame but simply seeing where it goes. |
| I will write a letter to someone I want to make amends with or clear the way for a deeper relationship. |
| I will write a letter to someone I want to make amends with or clear the way for a deeper relationship. |
| I will write my past self a kind letter and read it to a loved one |
| I will write a letter to someone I want to make amends with or clear the way for a deeper relationship. |
| I will write a letter to someone I want to make amends with or clear the way for a deeper relationship. |
| I will write a letter to someone I want to make amends with or clear the way for a deeper relationship. |
| I will write my future self a letter and read it to the most important person in my life |
| I will tell someone how much I love them and why today |
| I will write a new list of limiting beliefs that I still have I will write about any progress I have made. I will write a list of things that I have often complained of. |
| Today I will take yesterday’s list of constant complaints like “no one gets me”, “no one cares”, “I am bad at everything” and other beliefs and stories held since childhood and I will speak it all out loud to someone I trust and begin next month’s process of releasing it through journaling, professional therapy and taking responsibility where I can and accepting that many of these things will not simply go away but they can be quieted, disarmed and I can diffuse them and take their power away through no longer allowing my past to dictate my future or present and living freely in the moment, doing the best I can and loving the people around me. Next month I will strive to achieve balance and routine. I will continue all my clean and healthy habits as well. |
